If you were skeptical about whether e-learning can actually change behavior then this should change your mind.
As a manager, even one with person experience of helping someone with mental health problems, it’s difficult to know how to help staff who work in a high stress environment. TFL staff deal with stressed commuters which can’t help their own stressed levels one bit.
Their approach to this was just a little bit of genius.
Transport for London commissioned Saffron Interactive to produce e-learning course on mental resilience. By using the medium of e-learning TFL managed to realize a £7.8 million saving by reducing their absences AND address the topics of stress, depression and anxiety.
The design won Saffron the Instructional Designer of the Year award.
