One of my most important decisions
I looked at a variety of accountants and took advice from some people who already employ accountants before settling. In the end it came down to two accountants, both local, both with solid reputations.
I finally settled on Albert Goodman in their Taunton office.
Their Senior Manager John Coupe gave me a good hour of his time advising me on how to start up a Ltd Company and introduced me to their business start up scheme.
They have since registered the Company and sent me a huge bundle of papers to review and sign including:
- Company minutes for 1st meeting
- Share Certificate
- Certificate of incorporation
- Memorandum and articles of association
- Two 64-8 Tax forms
- One SA1 Tax form
- Letters of engagement
It two hours to review all the above but the wording was clear and straight forward so involved a lot less stress to sign copying and return than one would expect.
Next – the bank account!
